We have a new date to save: 16th June, at 6 pm in our usual venue St. Cuthbert’s church, Earls Court London.

WKMT Piano Lessons London has returned to its Classical Concert Monthly series. After the great concert we organised on the 24th March with Juan Rezzuto playing Haydn sonata and concerto, WKMT brings a new concert following the Argentinian line. In this case, two friends of the famous studio, Carolina Aguirre and Aleksandra Tonelli will be performing Argentinian popular music and contrasting pieces.

Two professional musicians based in Buenos Aires (Argentina), and now, here in London to delight us with the powerful and beautiful sounds from this giant country. Argentina is such a vast country and that is the main reason why Argentina has many different types of music within the popular music. So many different traditions and cultures within the same country. In this case, Miss Tonelli will be performing popular music, to be more precise, she will be performing what in Argentina is called Milongas. It is a kind of music that is actually played in Tango clubs. They often begin with dancing classes and sometimes demonstration dance. On the contrary, Miss Aguirre will be performing classical pieces, Carlos Guastavino, Argentinian composer, amongst others.

Such a very different repertoire that will give London an idea of the different types of music we can listen to in Argentina.
